It´s the 25th time that Vesak is celebrated at the Peace Pagoda in Vienna. Vesak is a Buddhist feast where Buddhas Birth, Enlightenment and Death is commemorated by believers of the different Buddhistic traditions. In Vienna it is celebrated at the Handelskai right next to the Donau/Danube-river.<br /><br />Even though it was cloudy during the day, when the ceremony started at 4 PM in the afternoon the clouds went away right in the moment when buddhistic mantras where uttered.
